The exterior of Sprinkled Sweet
is sure to catch your eye!

The sweetest place in Williamsport stumbles upon you, a small door subtly placed around the corner of Main Street. From the outside, it doesn’t seem too glamorous, but one step inside and your world is lit up. The walls of the small rectangular interior alternated between a bright purple, pink, or teal shade. One wall covered in just as fluorescent t-shirts, another overwhelmed by a colossal mirror with soft decor pompoms sprawled across. The border of the small room is lined with glass display cases. But the most eye-catching detail of all? The sweet treats that overflow the cases. Chocolates, cherries, cake pops, cheesecakes, you name it. The cheesecakes dripping with strawberry and cherry toppings, and the cake pops drizzled with caramel and marshmallow creme. This extravagance is home to none other than Sprinkled Sweet, a rising star in the savory small businesses of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

“Wednesdays and Saturdays are the only days that we don't bake”, expresses Megan with a grin, her red hair thrown in a messy bun. Megan is one of the only six workers who work under Aimee Hertwig, who opened Sprinkled Sweet on April 22, 2015. When a small vacancy
opened on Pine Street in Williamsport, Hertwig, who was then a manager at a nearby restaurant, jumped at the opportunity to start her own business. Megan was one of the first employees to belong to Sprinkled Sweet, and is very serene in her position. Her uniform is all black, matching her thin dark glasses, but conflicting with her white shoes and bright smile. She shares her favorite details about the hidden treasure bakery like the featured cookie, which changes out weekly. This week was a carrot cake cookie. There was one lonely cookie left, almost out just in time for the new week to roll in.

Not only does Sprinkled Sweet have any baked goods you could dream of, they also manufacture homemade ice cream. The 18 flavors are dreamt up and made in house, although they tend to vary depending on the seasonal interests. Sometimes, you can even spot the ice cream being made! There is a small alcove room just around the corner that houses the large metal churner used to make the ice cream. The flavors are mixed here then transferred to a concealed room, presumably to stay frozen and fresh. Usually, the ice cream is made on Sunday mornings, or if need be, sometime during the week. There are unique flavors of ice cream constantly being rotated in, such as the current flavors- Grand Slam, Sunrise, and Pumpkin Pie.

The famous mini cheesecakes!

The ice cream is one of the biggest sellers, next to the s'mores bars and the mini cheesecakes. The s’mores bars; savory large blocks of graham cracker cookie, layered with mini chocolate chips and marshmallows, topped with cookie dough and drizzled with a chocolate ganache. A local in line excitedly orders a cherry cheesecake, exclaiming that, “they’re one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had!” He earns a smile from the cashier, and turns around with a grin of his own, a translucent to-go container in hand, the perfect size for a personal cheesecake.

Sprinkled Sweet does it all- from personalized cakes and cookies, to milkshakes, boba tea, and other sweet drinks. Seasonal features and staple pieces, the shelves are always sure to be stocked. A small business on the rise, Sprinkled Sweet is less than an hour from Bloomsburg, and should be your next delectable adventure!
