Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Kiersten and I am a freshman nursing major. I live in Mifflin County, which is about forty minutes from State College. There, I live with my mom, dad, and younger sister along with my dog, two cats, and some fish. A fun fact I have is that my three fair fish have been living for two years!

Something people may not know about me is that I have cheered since I was five years old and I was on my high school's varsity cheerleading team for all four years of high school! I did fall, winter, and competition cheerleading. However, my high school team and coach were very toxic and ruined my love for the sport, which led me to decide I wasn't going to cheer at Bloomsburg.

Another thing not many people know about me is that I started to show my horse, Aggie, in costume class when I was three years old until I was about seven. She lived to be twenty-nine years old!

The last interesting thing I have is that two summers ago I went on my first cruise! We traveled to Nassau, Freeport, and Bimini in the Bahamas. We got to swim with dolphins and hold parrots while we were there.

  1. Hi Kiersten! I absolutely love how you set up this blog with so many pictures! Wow, I'm so jealous that you swam with dolphins; that's like my dream!!!

  2. Hi Kiersten! This was a very organized post! I also used to cheer for high school! I only wound up doing it for two years but it still had a great time, definitely not as big of a passion as you had. I am sorry to hear that your coaches ruined your love for the sport unfortunately that does happen to people. Having a horse is so cool I always wanted to go for lessons when I was younger. I also went on my first cruise two summers ago! That was my first time ever out of the country and we also went to the Bahamas, it was a blast!

  3. Hey Kiersten! I think that having your horse put on a costume is really unique and interesting in which I have never seen that done before with horses until now. Very curious to see other costumes that Aggie has worn over the years. I'm sorry to hear that your high school team ruined your passion for cheerleading but I hope one day you will get the courage to join it again.

  4. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with cheer. It's a shame that ruined your love for the sport.
