Who Am I Blog

Hi! My name is Lindsey Birkbeck, and I am a sophomore at Bloomsburg. I am a political science major with a minor in legal studies, and I hope to become an international lawyer. I have lived in Philadelphia my entire life with my parents and younger brother, Carter. In my hometown, I have been working as a server at a local restaurant for four years. Over the summers, I work as a counselor at a private Montessori school in the area.
In my free time, I love to play tennis, paint with watercolors, talk to my friends, and hang out with my dog, Drake. During breaks from school, I have the ability to solo travel and plan international vacations with my friends. This takes months of planning and working to save up for these trips, as my friends and I financially support ourselves for these excursions. I am grateful to travel and see the world at a young age. My bucket list of countries and states to explore is forever growing, and I hope that I will be able to have the opportunity to study abroad next year!

  2. Hello Lindsey! It is such a relief to know there are other sophomores in this class besides myself. I was beginning to get worried I was the only one. It is so cool that you can travel internationally, I've always wanted to explore the world. You should definitely pursue studying abroad, it was such a life changing experience for my older sister.

  3. Hey Lindsey! I think growing up in a big city like Philadelphia must have been a cool experience. I have many friends from high school that all worked in restaurants are really enjoyed it. Solo traveling seems like an awesome experience and is something i have always wanted to do. My friends and I tried to play a summer trip to Europe, but the plans feel through. There is definitely a lot of planning that goes into any big trip.
